Played in 2-person team formats – Players handicaps vary from 0-54 at the world final, making it a fun yet competitive environment. Whether you’re a seasoned player or just picked up the game, this is your chance to join the ranks of golfing legends and compete against club golfers from 27+ countries across the globe.

ABOUT THE WORLD FINAL

 The International Pairs World Final is played as a Better Ball Stableford 2-person team format over 3 days of 18 Holes per day. (36 Holes total).

1x Practice Round

2x Tournament Rounds.

There is always an official practice round the day before the first tournament round.

The 2024 World Final will take place in the heart of the Canary Islands, Tenerife.

The International Pairs Women’s Division launched in 2019, in spirit of growing the game of golf. There is now a direct Entry option available at the International Pairs World Final in the Women’s Open Championship. Team up with your golfing buddy and hit the big stage.

The Ryder Experience is an event like no other, players are split in teams of 4, with personal on course time with the past Ryder Cup players over 4 days & 3 rounds of golf.

Enter for the International Pairs Ryder Experience and be captained by past Ryder Cup Legends Manuel Pinero, Costantino Rocca, Ronan Rafferty or Eddie Polland.

Players will be drawn into 4 teams, captained by past Ryder Cup Legends at the International Pairs World Final Ryder Experience in Portugal. Play competitive Ryder formats alongside players from 27+ other countries

    WORLD FINAL INFO & FAQS

    Tournament General Info
    1. All affiliated golfers with an official golf handicap in their country will be eligible to participate in the World Final.
    2. The World Final is open to all golfers of 18 years or older at the time of the World Final who are affiliated members of an affiliated Golf Club and have an official handicap index.
    3. Players will compete in teams of 2 in a Better Ball Stableford format in the Open & Championship divisions.
    4. Ryder Experience players will be drawn into 4 teams and compete in a mix of Better Ball Stableford and Combined Stableford, with a selection of best scores to count towards each team’s total.
    5. The tournament comprises of 1 practice round & 2 tournament rounds.
    6. The World Final is conducted along the lines of a professional Tournament, with no count-outs and any “ties” being settled by way of a play-off, if possible (For the Ryder Experience, the Captain will select one pair if a play-off is required).
    7. The 2024 World Final will take place from 30 September – 4 October in Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain.
    8. Pairs that qualify in their respective country will play in either the Championship, Women’s, and Mixed Pairs division at the World Final.
    9. Direct entries are open in the Women’s Open, Mixed Pairs Open, and Ryder Experience, where no qualification is needed and players can enter directly by means of pay-and-play.
    10. All meals are included at the World Final, except 1 off night to explore the surrounding areas.
    11. Carts/Buggies are inclusive at the World Final.
    12. Transfers from Tenerife’s airport, golf transfers and to all functions and back is included in the entry fee.
    13. Flights are not included and for players own expense.
    How to Enter
    1. Select which division you would like to compete in – Womens Open, Mixed Pairs Open, Ryder Experience
    2. Sign up & Register on the International Pairs Website
    Timeline

     

    1. The International Pairs World Final & Ryder Experience will take place from 30 Septemeber – 4 October 2024.
    Format
    1. Open Divisions: Players will compete in teams of 2 in a Better Ball Stableford format.
    2. Ryder Experience: Players will be drawn into 4 teams and compete in a mix of Better Ball Stableford and Combined Stableford, with a selection of best scores to count towards each team’s total. 
    3.  The tournament comprises of 1 practice round and 2 tournament rounds.
    The Prize
    1. Winners will be crowned respective World Champion winners of the division they competed in. 
    2. There may be a selection of other prizes.
    Player Requirments / Eligibilty
    1. All affiliated golfers with an official golf handicap in their country will be eligible to participate in the World Final.
    2. The World Final is open to all golfers of 18 years or older at the time of the World Final who are affiliated members of an affiliated Golf Club and have an official handicap index.
    3. Anyone under 18 is to be accompanied by the legal guardian of the minor.
    4. All players must be in good standing at their home club and country.
    Handicap Info
    1. Players shall use their handicap index according to the golf handicapping system in operation, as implemented in their country as per the World Handicap system.
    2. During the World Final golfers will receive 85% allowance of their Course Handicap, which complies with the International Handicapping Rules of the Tournament and Rule 6.2a as per the suggested Tournament Rules by the Governing bodies.
    3. There is NO maximum handicap (Maximum handicap as per WHS).
    4. It is the responsibility of the player to ensure that he /she plays off the correct handicap index as indicated above. The organizers do not take any responsibility for possible incorrect information in this regard.
    Determining The Winners
    1. The World Final is conducted along the lines of a professional Tournament, with no count-outs and any “ties” being settled by way of a play-off, if possible
    2. For the Ryder Experience, the Captain will select one pair if a play-off is required.
